Oh well, what can I say.
I'm dying to read a translation or a detailed summary -- it's all so intriguing. I bugged all my remotely Japanese-speaking friends to give me a rough translation, but nothing is clear yet.
And I just can't thank white_cross_b enough for scanning the chapter!

Once upon a time we had a flashmob game in the Russian fandom where everyone wrote his/her opinion on WH characters. The aim was to read the opinions, not the arguements: it doesn't matter whether Ken says he was raised as a Christian, if you still feel he is not, you say that he is not. It was really curious to read because it pretty much gave the idea of what's going on in people's heads ;)
So I just thought -- I'd love to read what you think on different CD dramas and Weiss Side B characters. It may just be a few lines, what matters is to pass on the idea of how you see them. So, please do share :)

athena8, you are absolutely right. Keeping a katana is legal in Japan. I did a quick research to find more detyails on the license et al, and here's what I found.

Japanese Gun Control

Prohibition of Possession of Swords and Permits for Possession of Swords Registered as Works of Art

I couldn't find the law itself, but these articles do show that you can own a katana and most likely even collect swords. And even although the weapon-related laws are quite strict in Japan, getting a permission looks real: "Licenses for possession of swords are issued for individual swords for specific applications such as hunting, eradication of noxious birds and animals, slaughter of animals, fishing or construction, cases where possession is unavoidable due to Japanese customs and practice, cases where possession is unavoidable for plays or other artistic performances, and cases where such items are used for display in museums."
There are also swordsmiths like the one mentioned in Tearless Dolls who make "shinken" ("living swords", i.e. really sharp steel swords) that are not only sold w/o any noticeable restrictions but are even used for studying certain techniques (e.g. yaido or temashigiri) (in the summary mentined above this is "Japanese customs and practice"), although only experienced masters normally do so.
So there must be no problem with either of the swords mentioned in WK, not even the one Takatori Reiji kept in his office.
